In Ballysillan we believe it is important to focus on the positive and reward our children on a daily and weekly basis. We have daily class rewards through table points and specific systems that allow us to praise the positive throughout the day.

On a weekly basis we have awards for writing, reading, eco-friendly, healthy life style, numeracy and star of the week. All of the stars also get to have a lovely hot chocolate the next day with the Vice Principal in our Tree House as well as a special voucher from "Seed and Bean".

All of our children get to experience success which boosts self esteem and confidence. Children who are happy will be more confident in their learning environment. We also have "Positive Referral to the Principal" whereby children are selected to come and receive a special certificate from the Principals office as well as a lovely treat for outstanding work.

We also promote our "Kindness Ambassadors" who get to welcome all the children at the gate every Friday morning at 8.40am-9am, what a lovely way to start the day!
