The Life and Times Of P5
We have had an excellent start to the new school year in Primary 5. In our first term we looked at two topics; All about me; and World War Two. We stepped back in time to learn about the War effort and rationing of food. We had amazing trip to the War Museum and got to dress up as WWII characters. We have also been very busy learning new things in Literacy, Numeracy and ICT including newspaper report writing, time and using our Purple Mash. Of course we had an awesome trip to the cinema as well 😊.
We are super excited for what lies ahead of us in our new term. This term we will be going swimming every Tuesday afternoon as part of our P.E. curriculum. Some very exciting news this term is that we will be partnering up with our Shared Education partners, Sacred Heart Primary School and building relationships through P.E., Math problem solving activities and Mindfulness. In addition our new topic takes us back to Ancient Egypt, we will be learning all about pyramids, Egyptians, Egyptian food, Pharaohs and the Mummification process. Who knows we might even mummify a member of staff AHA!!
