Welcome
A very warm welcome to Ballysillan Primary School and Nursery Unit. Thank you for taking the time to look at our website. Your child is the reason why we are here and we aim to create a happy and safe environment whereby children have the opportunity to fulfil their potential, experience success, grow and develop. Our motto is: "Caring, Supportive, Inclusive and Nurturing". This sentiment underpins all we do at Ballysillan Prmary and Nursery.
We have worked hard over the past several years to establish our “School of Sanctuary” status amongst other pastoral care awards such as the “Derrytrasna Pastoral Care” award in 2020, awarded by DENI and PHA and most recently 'Investors in Mental Health Gold Award' awarded by Aware NI and the sought after 'NIFSA Forest School' status.+
Ballysillan is situated in the heart of the community and is involved with Blue Houses Youth for Christ, Benview Community Centre and local secondary schools. At Ballysillan, we see our parents as an integral part of the community, working together to promote high levels of learning and positive behaviour.
